Chained

Ask for a miracle, give everything for nothing

Obsequious and fawning, call on the gods, the ancestors serving with the empty hand

Make yourself holy, prepare the way, mask your desire and cover your fear with ritual intention

Cast yourself to the wind, perform with great flourish, and discover that god has abandoned you

The ancestors are dead, your inheritance is only a faint impression inscribed in the cell

Their hunger is your hunger, made real by your fear, your worship will not satiate it

Little gods of wood and stone, silent idols like false memories of forebears we never knew

Pietas is the enslavement of the heart and mind, bound by the iron ring of symbol and tradition

Do you hear them speaking?

Listen closely, it is your own voice you are hearing, justifying the path you set yourself on

Obeisance to religion, is fealty to a fiction, a false piety that burns in bright colors on the altar

Listen, the way is one of humility, the relationships before you are the entire world, let go

The past holds people in its rigid-grip, with violence and a lust for life that will not be quelled

We cannot stay bound to it, led about by phantom chains, bolted to the heart, break them apart

Emergence 3.0 - Section Four, Kathy; Part Twenty-two, Childhood; Chapter Two, Memories

Emergence 3.0
A Novel – In One Page Per Day
Day 163, Tuesday
June 12th, 2018

Chapter Two: Memories

There were hidden places within her, deep places she would spend years discovering. This was not unique to Kathy, but she was uniquely able to access all of the remote regions of her sub-conscious and unconscious mind, the deep dark well of her being.

There were languages that no person had spoken for thousands of years. She conversed in them with her ancestors.

There were memories of love, of pain and the promise of transcendence. She dwelt in them, rejoiced in them, and was lifted up by them.

Her memories were full of visions, visions of transformation, of her ancestors, always in a state of becoming.

Kathy took refuge there, entertained herself there, she relived the great dramas of the collective past, the stories that still lingered in the popular consciousness of her contemporaries, she peeled away the myths, the lies, and the propaganda.

She discovered the bare stories, the prime narrative behind the world’s hero’s and God’s.

She spent even more time in the stories of the completely forgotten. In the memories of the farmer, and the slave, the common soldier, the ordinary mother, among the artists and the craftsmen.

She learned.

She chose from among the people and figures of her memories, friends, caring people who could guide her through the processes of managing the incredible deluge that she was often washed in.

Her internal mentors were not just figures from her ancestral past, they also had an active, conscious presence in the cynergenic field.

She chose protectors, good people, teachers, those were had experiences in life that were similar to her own.

Emergence, In Fifty-five Words - Section Four, Kathy; Part Twenty-two, Childhood, Collected Chapters

Emergence 2.0
A Novel – In 55 Words a Day
Day 162, June 11th, 2017

Chapter One: Memory

From the moment she was born Kathy lived in two worlds: one, her senses; two, the larger world of memory.

Her memory spoke to her in word and vision, contextualizing everything she encountered, summarizing each new experience at the speed of light, faster.

Every smell, every touch, every sound was evocative.

She was often paralyzed.

Chapter Three: Remembering

Kathy’s memories came to her unbidden. They simply suggested themselves to her in order to frame her understanding of the events she was experiencing in real time.

She experienced a dialog with the ancestors living within her, deciphering events, and answering questions in an instant.

It was an atavistic process. It happened at light speed.

Chapter Four: Knowledge

The new was surreal to Kathy. The more unique the event, the more fascinated she was by it.

For her to witness something unprecedented was like watching a movie in a blurry, off-axis context, while the voices inside her attempted to shape her understanding of the event by providing context, offering comparisons, and suggesting similes.

Chapter Five: Knowing

For Kathy, knowing things came unbidden. Details of particular points of knowledge filled her mind at quantum speed.

She did not have to ponder or search her memory for anything.

The meanings of symbols, and of histories, populated her consciousness in no-time.

Everything she sensed was filtered through a screen of the complete human experience.

Chapter Six: Understanding

For Kathy, comprehension came from beyond time and space. It came from a place within the mysteries of the atom, within the waves that make up the fabric of the subatomic field, from a place in which time and space are concepts without meaning, trillions of points of light drawn into the concrescence of insight.

Chapter Seven: Expressing

Kathy played music.

There was not an instrument, or a rhythm that she did not master instantly.

She sang, with perfect pitch.

She spoke in her own voice, all the while sensing the multitude within her, guiding her fingers, her brushes, her pen, and her tongue.

She was the living repository of all human knowledge.
