There is no Bottom - Editorial, The Week in Review

Analysis, Commentary, Opinion

There is no Bottom

Donald Trump, the fake president, is an enemy of the people.

He is an enemy of constitutional government.

Donald Trump is operating a criminal regime, having stolen the election with the aid of foreign adversaries, and he plans to do it again.

The orange menace must be stopped.

The Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, she must move forward with impeachment. T-Rump cannot be left in office, everyday he hold the title and power of our chief executive he is doing harm to the people of the United States.

We cannot wait for the election in 2020 to take him, we will not be able to endure the damage he will do to the country when he becomes a lame-duck president.

Impeach him now, prosecute him for his crimes, and put him behind bars.

It is the duty of all people of good conscience to oppose him. Republicans must abandon him, abandon their own party if need be, strip him of any power and support. Those politicians who make apologies for his criminal behavior, they must go. Take them out of positions of power, vote them out of office. We cannot afford to let them coddle the tyrant any further.

Democrats, and their supporters in congress must move forward with plans to remove him, if Nancy Pelosi cannot figure this out, she must go to.

I am a partisan, but this is not a matter of partisan politics, we are in a constitutional crises, and its perpetrator must go.

The country will not rise under this menace, we will only sink farther, and there is no bottom.

The Wrong Way - Editorial, The Week in Review

Analysis, Commentary, Opinion

The Wrong Way

Nancy Pelosi let her frustration with Donald Trump, on the one hand, and her caucus on the other hand, get away from her.

It was shameful. It is the wrong way, that is the Trump way.

In a private meeting the Speaker of the House said that she does not want to see Donald Trump impeached, she wants to see him in prison.

Take no comfort in that.

Donald Trump is a criminal. His administration is illegitimate, but he must be removed from office before we can put him on trial for his crimes.

Apologists for the speaker are saying that there is no harm in her words, she is playing the same card e plays when Donald Trump calls for the prosecution and imprisonment of his political opponents.

That is not how America is supposed to work. We cannot let our leaders speak that way about their rivals, that road leads to the undoing of our representative democracy, and the dissolution of the republic.

We cannot leave a criminal in office. He must be impeached.

Open the inquiry now. Hold each member of congress accountable for their vote.

Put Donald Trump on trial in the Senate, hold each senator accountable for their vote.

Expose the fake president for the criminal that he is.

Do it now; duty demands it.

Let it play out as it will.

Show courage, this is not the ginned up impeachment of Bill Clinton, this is something else.

This is what your oath of office demands.

Criminal Regime - Part I

Editorial, The Week in Review – Analysis, Commentary, Opinion

The fake president Donald Trump, T-Rump is operating a criminal regime.
He may be occupying the White House lawfully, as the duly elected President of the United States. However, it is increasingly clear that intuition of the majority of the voters was correct, T-Rump does not belong in public office.
He arrived at the Oval Office through a wide variety of criminal, possibly treasonous, and fraudulent activities.
He and his family have been operating outside of the law since the day he took office, they are in violation of laws against nepotism, but more importantly they are in violation of the emoluments clause of the constitution.
Donald Trump is in debt to, and in the pay of foreign powers, Russia (perhaps others), a geo-political adversary who worked tirelessly to attack our democracy in the 2016 election, and through a variety of hostile, criminal engagements successfully threw the election in his favor.
He personally owes them billions of dollars, and he is in debt to them for his political victory as well. They have incriminating evidence on him, and they have been using it to extort political favors from him: in the Ukraine, in the Crimea, against NATO, and our European allies.
T-Rump is operating a criminal regime. It is the duty of every American to stand against him, call for his resignation, and by any lawful means remove him from power.
He is unfit for office.
He has no allegiance to anyone but himself, and his family who he views as an extension of himself.
He is a profiteer.
The Trump regime is a threat to the Republic, Donald Trump represents a clear and present danger to the United States of America.
There is a growing chorus of voices, which everyday are speaking out in recognition of the fact that T-Rump is mentally unsound and emotionally unequipped to handle the pressures of the office he occupies.
Along with that chorus you can hear his apologists echoing that recognition, as The Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan did yesterday in his attempt to make excuses for T-Rump’s mistakes, claiming that they are all the result of him being unprepared, inexperienced, a political novice and so on, and so on…what is not being denied is that the errors are profligate, and mounting.

T-Rump must go.

Fake President – Part VII

Editorial, The Week in Review – Analysis, Commentary, Opinion

T-Rump has been sitting in the oval office for seventy-two days.
He has been occupying it, that is, when he is not playing golf at one of his country clubs, or flying around the country giving speeches, empty, free from policy, full of lies.
There was a ray of hope this week, a glimmer of hope breaking into the American disaster, it does not come from the many serious investigations that are ongoing, developing, growing in scope. It would be great to have hope in those investigations, but one of them, the investigation run by the House Intelligence Committee has come completely undone, its chairman Congressman Devin Nunez, has proven through his words and actions that he is a shill for T-Rump. His committee is no longer even holding hearings. It ended the week by blocking witnesses from testifying in open session.
The Senate investigation, and the FBI investigations seem to be moving forward in a responsible manner, but, it does not matter what they uncover, even if the uncover hard evidence of real crimes. It does not matter if the House of Representatives does not have the political will to file charges of impeachment, and refer those charges to the Senate for a trial.
There is no way to remove T-Rump from the White House, and put an end to the fake presidency without those steps being taken.
T-Rump is breaking the law every day, regardless of what you think about the way in which he was elected, whether crimes were committed by the T-Rump campaign, or by T-Rump himself, crimes that should disqualify him, regardless of what you think about that, or what the ongoing investigations reveal, T-Rump has been in violation of the constitution from the moment he took office, he has been in violation of the emoluments clause, he is taking money, he is enriching himself by taking money from foreign banks, foreign governments, royalty, and alien powers.
He is in violation of other federal statutes, such as the anti-nepotism clause, employing members of his family to work in the government, and none of them are divesting themselves of their assets.
The T-Rump presidency is not just fake, it is a criminal enterprise, established through a criminal conspiracy.
This week a small ray of hope emerged. T-Rump threatened to “go-after” a group of republicans who did not support his failed effort to get a health care bill passed into law. T-Rump threatened to campaign against them in retaliation, through his proxies at Fox News he threatened to go after the Paul Ryan, the Speaker of the House.
His political ham handedness is causing fissures to open up between the fake president, and the rest of the phonies in the Republican Party, and therein lies the hope. He needs them, if those house republicans begin to turn on, the way he has turned on them, that could prove to be the end of his agenda. Those investigations could take on a different aspect, and articles of impeachment might be considered.
A house divided against itself cannot stand.
We have to keep the pressure up. Those political creatures will turn on T-Rump just as soon as they perceive it to be in their political interests.
That much is certain.

Fake President – Part VI

Editorial, The Week in Review – Analysis, Commentary, Opinion

It was another off week for the fake president. T-Rump lost a battle for one of his central campaign promises. This is a good thing for the country, and it is a sobering look at how T-Rump works.
Let us be clear. The Affordable Care Act (ACA), popular known as Obamacare, is not a great healthcare system, it is not even a good system, but it is doing more for more people than the non-system that it replaced.
As a nation, we must move the goal toward a “single payer,” centrally funded, universal healthcare program, it is what the American people need, it is what we deserve, and while it may change significant economic sectors of our country, by eliminating some insurance markets etc…, it will be a massive boost to the economy in so many other ways. When the burden for the cost of healthcare is spread evenly across every strata of society, the burden of co-pays, and premiums will be removed from individuals, and their employers, which in turn will free up significant amount of money that will move to other places in the economy.
The people will benefit, and the insurance moguls, those multi billionaires, they will figure out what to do with their wealth, and they will be just fine.
T-Rump promised up and down the campaign trail to repeal and replace Obamacare on the first day he was in office, “immediately,” he would say. He made these promises while following the empty rhetoric of his republican colleagues, who voted to repeal and replace Obamacare more than fifty time since its passage, which votes they took knowing that President Obama would never sign it into law. They were safe, ill intentioned, cowardly votes that they backed away from just as soon as their might be real consequences for them to face.
T-Rump jumped into the discussion without any understanding of the ramifications of the various proposals that were on the table. He did not care what was in the bill. He only wanted to sign something and claim a win.
T-Rump and the republicans, especially the Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, lied to the American people everyday in the weeks leading up to their debacle in the house.
They told us everyday that Obamacare was unstable, imploding, exploding, despite the fact that that Congressional Budget Office (CBO) said that this was not true.
What they meant by this was: if Obamacare was left unchanged, people would begin to lose their coverage, premiums would continue to rise to the point that the average American would not be able to afford their insurance.
When the CBO scored the T-Rump, and Ryan’s plan what they found was that twenty-four million people would lose their coverage, and premiums would skyrocket for the poor, the sick, and the elderly.
T-Rump and Ryan were planning to take us exactly to the place they were projecting Obamacare would take us to in their fear-mongering and doom-saying.
The republicans had seven years to come up with a plan to replace the affordable care act, and they came up with nothing they could actually agree on.
They have a republican president, and hold majorities in both houses of congress, and they could not get their own team to agree.
Typically, T-Rump wants to blame the democrats, even though he never invited them to the table to negotiate.
T-Rump fails again.
Paul Ryan looked like he was about to cry. In his heart of hearts, he wanted to pass a bill that would deprive millions of people of their health insurance, of the security of knowing that if they were ill, they would not lose their house, or their savings, or their lives. He expressed real sorrow about this.
T-Rump brought nothing to the table, thankfully, his negotiating skills are not at all what he boasted of. If he had succeeded, the American people would have been screwed.
